SAN PEDRO MARINA

The competition winning design for a mixed-use master plan features a 130 key boutique hotel, 16000 sf Yacht Club, 22000 sf retail village, and boardwalk revitalization. The industrial port setting has been re-imagined as a modern maritime aesthetic that sets the tone for the upscale resort destination proposed. The buildings themselves take massing cues from the existing industrial waterfront architecture, while accentuated by a more refined and contemporary version of a public use on the waterfront. The materials are likewise an adaptation of an industrial attitude about durability, enhanced to accommodate the modern traveler. Wood, metal, plaster and glass are used in their natural form to bring an honesty of materials and an approachable texture to the guest experience.
